Calligrapher and Successor of “Luo Dan Style” Luo Zhong: Good At Both Calligraphy And International Ballroom Dance
As a nephew of famous Fujian calligraphy
master Luo Dan and successor of “Luo Dan Style” , Luo Zhong is always
referred to succeed Luo Dan’s calligraphy style. Commonly, people may imagine
him as the image of old Confucius. Actually, this 71-year-old man is not that
old. He is not only good at calligraphy, but also dance International Ballroom
very well. He has won awards in Xiamen International Ballroom Dance Contest for
many times. His dance partner is his wife who has companied him for 45 years.

Luo Zhong has absorbed much of the
essence of “Luo Dan Style”. He is also good at cursive(Cao Shu), running(Xing
Shu), official(Li Shu) and Wei(Wei Shu) scripts. The inscription of “Xia
Men Zhi Wu Yuan”(Xiamen Botanic Garden)
is written by Luo Zhong. He has many titles, such as Member of Chinese
Calligraphers Association, Member of Chinese Couplets Society, Member of
Chinese Couplets Calligraphy Art Committee and Secretary-General of Painters
and Calligraphers Office of CPPCC Xiamen. He also used to be nominated for 20
Famous Chinese Calligraphers by Fine Arts. Therefore, he is often invited to
many occasions.
